As part of our development, we are looking for a New Business Development specialist for by-products, reporting to the Business By-product Valorization Manager. The position can be based in Rosignano or Bollate. You want to work in a challenging and international fast growing business environment? Job Overview and Responsibilities:

You will be to contribute to the business development of our different by-products such as fine limestone, gypsum, unburnt and out of spec products (carbonate + bicarbonate). More specifically, you will create new market from scratch for our facility in Italy (Rosignano), as well as, for the German market, two facilities in Germany (Rheinberg and Bernburg) and one in France (Dombasle).

Key responsibilities:

Better understand and assess the local demand and opportunities around the plant and customers’ needs

Generate interest and negotiate with new customers and converters for the most promising local market segments in Italy

Leverage on current agreement and negotiate with customers to increase margin on current contracts

Support the analysis of Solvay’s competitive positioning (data collection, regulation, call for tender,…)

Work closely with the plant and technical team to better fit the by-products quality with the market demand if needed

Understand the local logistics flow opportunities in collaboration with supply chain team




Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry

Experience in business development or sales of minimum 5 years




Skills:

Entrepreneurship profile, ready to think out of the box, challenge the status quo

Innovative & open-mindedness is critical

Customer orientation, excellent networker and people communication

Multidisciplinary team player & at ease in an international environment

Fluent in Italian, German and English, French or Bulgarian would be a plus

First experience in limestone business or circular economy will be a plus

Knowledge of CRM tools (e.g Salesforce, other database) would be a plus

Ready to travel 30% of time
