Job Overview and Responsibilities:
As UK Benefits Administration Manager a key part of your role will be to lead the pensions advisory service for the UK.  Utilizing your expertise in pensions, you will supervise the Solvay UK pension fund and provide accurate and timely pensions and benefits services to all stakeholders involved.  Based in Oldbury you will play a key part in the Human Resources Service Line and work closely with  the UK Payroll team for the country.  Our HR Service Line is responsible for managing payroll and benefits operations, payroll design and the information technology landscape for Solvay globally.

Under the guidance of our HR Service Line Manager and with strong collaboration with the Corporate Benefits Coordinator you will manage Solvay UK Pension Funds including costings, budget, legal framework and interpretation of Trust Deed and Rules.  You will also ensure operational management of the UK Pension Fund and coordinate the technical advisory committee, board of directors and general meeting. You will monitor and extract information for reporting purposes as well as supervising the pension administration for all populations.

In this role you will provide support to the UK Pension Fund Chairman as well as manage the administration of service level agreements.  You will manage the relationship with subcontractors of the Solvay UK Pension Funds (Actuary, accountant, auditors) and manage the request for quotation process at contract renewal stage plus lead the auditing process (internal and external) related to Solvay UK Pension Funds and associated internal controls.

In this role you will also manage the administration of any kind of benefits such as private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection and company car policy.  The role will involve communicating with internal and external customers and be a point contact for employees and the HR community.   You will also lead on Compensation and Benefits project activity for the UK.



Education and Experience:
In order to be successful in this role you will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Accounting, Economics, Business or a related Human Resources field backed up with demonstrable experience gained in a Compensation/Pay/Payroll/Benefits environment as management level and with particular emphasis and exposure to Pensions advisory.

Broad experience in Pensions to include (valuation, assets, governance and administration). Plus managing the contracts process and service level agreements, costs and request for quotations.

You will be dynamic with an analytical mind and comfortable working with numbers, good interpersonal skills (across all levels of seniority) and diplomacy. Customer orientated with excellent writing skills.
