Solvay Specialty Polymers Italy SpA with headquarter in Bollate (Milano) is looking for an Industrial Chemist (Researcher) to join the Fluids (PerFluoroPolyEthers, PFPEs) R&D team.Job Overview and Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
•To act as a reference point and support on process-related topics between R&D and Fluids Technology Functions, Operations and Pilot plants
•Comply with Solvay HSE Policy and laboratory practices.
•Lead the development and execution of experimental activities aimed at scaling-up new products and processes.
•Responsible for research activities/Projects/Programs and for the achievement of objectives.
•Become an expert in the field of PFPE Chemistry and related processes.
•Support our Business Line delivering innovative solutions.
•Ensure knowledge and expertise are maintained, developed and exchanged within the team.
•Follow scientific and technological developments and market evolutions within own domain of expertise, including competitors’ patents.
•Contribute to patents filings and execution.
•Close collaboration with both internal and external (academic) partners.
•Master Degree/PhD in Industrial Chemistry
•Experience in synthetic chemistry/organic chemistry is a plus
•Some experience in the scale-up of processes at the pilot scale is appreciated
•Fluent English is mandatory
•Knowledge of Industrial or Polymer Chemistry
•Aptitude for both experimental work (lab activities) and project management
•Knowledge of organic chemistry and synthesis processes
