Import/Export and Trade Control officer

Job Overview and Responsibilities:
The Customs & Trade Control Operations Service is part of the organization of CCT service line (Customer Credit and Trade) in SBS, and operates in 3 different areas: customs management, trade control and trade preference. Its main mission is to provide support and transactional services to the GBUs and to guarantee compliance for Solvay group. CTC team operates on GTS (Global Trade System), a SAP module to manage Customs and Trade control activities.

As part of SBS CTC Operations team, and for a defined geographical perimeter, the CTC Operations officer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Export and Import customs operations in GTS for France
- Be the main contact with the Global Business Unit (GBU) in case of issue with an export customs declaration
- Support the french production and R&I sites in case of interface issues with French customs system
- Ensure the monthly customs reports for french customs and Solvay GBUs

  • Export Trade control in GTS
- Analyze export control with 3 different tools: compare the sales orders to the official blocked partner’s lists and the specific regulations of countries under embargo
- Analyze the new partners created by GBUs against sanctioned party lists

Education and Experience:
  • University degree
  • First experience in supply chain or commercial area

  • A good level of french is required: reading, writing and speaking
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC
  • Curious, open minded, team worker, you are able to evolve in a moving environment
