Job Overview and Responsibilities:

The MES Design & Support is an IT team in charge of providing support for several World Wide Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

The MES Design & Support Analyst provides design, roll-out and day to day support services of MES systems in the local zone and international. The incumbent takes part in the MES roll-out projects, is part of the technical IT expertise center for the MES infrastructures, and provides assistance to all IS teams for its roll-out.

This position may be located in Princeton, NJ or Bristol, PA. The role requires occasional domestic travels and occasional international travels to Lyon, France, and other countries.


Main Duties

Installation, configuration and support of MES client software.

Installation, configuration, administration, monitoring and support of MES servers.

Design, test and roll-out automated administration processes on MES servers.

Promotes and contributes to new technology.

Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.

Develops and maintains documentation of MES systems (applications, network architecture)

Guides and instructs members of IT on technology, applications, and best practices.

Works in a multidimensional, multi-site team with project managers, analysts, and system administrators in order to meet client’s IS needs.





Education and Experience:

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related area

At least two years of experience in IS

Ability to recognize problems, develop solutions and communicate solutions effectively.

Teamwork ability in a multicultural team

Self-motivated

Good organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to learn new skills on the job

Handles multiple tasks efficiently




Skills:

Microsoft Windows OS and Google

Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory; TCP/IP;

Microsoft Excel;

Computer Networking skills;

Cloud computing is an asset;

Advanced skills on one of the following MES technologies:

Aspen Manufacturing suite (IP21, APRM, SQL+);

Osisoft PI;

Wonderware (Historian and Batch historian, Skeleta)
