Job Overview and Responsibilities:
The Lead Lab Technician performs quality control analytical testing to support production of industrial
chemicals.  Analytical results are communicated to plant personnel to continue batch processing.  The 
Lead Lab Technician also performs standard laboratory work that supports this effort (housekeeping,
solution preparation, instrument maintenance, etc.)

Job Duties
1. Follow all plant HSE rules, policies and procedures. Communicates
any safety concerns to Quality Manager and/or HSE Specialist.
2.  Maintain safe working conditions and practices.
3. Perform analysis upon receipt of raw materials and on manufactured
products at various stages of production.
4. Calculate adjustments or corrections and communicate appropriate
instructions to production personnel.
5. Approve or quarantine raw materials and/or finished products within
specified guidelines.
6.  Record analytical data on in-process paperwork and into the LIMS.
7.  Prepare and standardize reagents.
8. Perform all other tasks as required by Quality Manager.    

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related discipline will substitute
for experience.

Two years professional experience working in a quality control

Experience working with laboratory instrumentation including HPLC, GC, FTIR,
UV/Vis, KF and titrators.
 Ability to work rotating 8 hour shifts.
 Ability to work while standing for extended periods.
 Ability to lift ~ 25 – 30 pounds
