Marketing and Sales

Marketing and Sales builds the bridge between Solvay and our markets and partners. You could help us create, deliver and capture value by anticipating markets evolution, understanding customer needs and optimizing commercial performance.

In Marketing, you could be developing specific growth markets for Solvay, and anticipating and meeting future customer requirements. Understanding value drivers and competitive positioning along the value chain is key in Marketing.

In Sales, you could be developing a tactical commercial plan, managing customer relationships and satisfaction, or optimizing product portfolio. Or you could focus on improving pricing, sales force and distribution performance management.

Operational Marketing Manager

Your mission is to develop and deploy our Global Market Strategic Plan at a regional level. As part of this you’ll also manage the regional product portfolio in accordance with Solvay’s wider global product portfolio strategy. We’ll count on you to be strategic and analytical in your thinking because you’ll develop market plans and implement strategies to support our business development.

If you’re interested in this role you should come from an academic background in Marketing and have had 2 to 3 years of experience in a marketing role.

New Market Development Manager

If you’re excited by new market possibilities, this is the role for you. It’ll be your job to identify game-changing opportunities and use the latest technologies as leverage when creating new customer-focused projects. Profit and growth are the two goals you’ll always be pursuing. That’s why you’ll implement new product innovation strategies in order to drive increased revenues. This means you’ll also work closely with the Operational Marketing Manager on new product launches.

If you’re interested in this role you should come from an academic background in Business or Technology complemented by 5 to 10 years working in marketing and front-end innovation.

Global Market Manager

If you have an in-depth understanding of the market and you’re always looking forward, this role is for you. That’s because you’ll be developing, managing and implementing our market strategy globally. You’ll hold responsibility for our contribution margin and work to make sure our assets portfolio and our strategy are aligned. In addition, we’ll look to you to lead the global pricing strategy for your assigned market, working closely with the Product Line Manager.

If you’re interested in this role you should come from an academic background in Business or Management with between 5 to 10 years of experience working in marketing management.

Strategic Marketing Manager

You’ll work closely with Business Units managers to shape our market-driven strategy and our go-to-market models. To be successful, especially when it comes to strategies for new sub-segments, you’ll create and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with strategic market players. You’ll also support the GBU portfolio strategy development, following the leadership of the Strategic Marketing Director.

If you’re interested in this role you should come from an academic background in Business or Marketing Management with between 10 to 15 years of marketing management experience.

Commercial Manager

You’ll develop, deploy and strive to realize the commercial plan for your territory and manage all commercial activities in order to achieve your target results. This means you’ll implement the strategic market plan at a regional level, coordinate regional market business opportunities, as well as marketing activities to support business growth. It also falls to you to manage a team of Account Managers and to allocate resources, identify and develop talent, conduct performance reviews, and propose development and succession planning initiatives.

If you’re interested in this role you should come from an academic background in Business or Technology with at least 5 years of commercial experience.

Key Account Manager

Your mission is to lead multiregional and multifunctional teams with the goal of shaping and launching our Key Account Plan. As a natural leader people will look to you to drive contract negotiations and close deals. You’ll also be responsible for achieving our KPI objectives according to our global marketing and pricing strategy. Last but not least, you’ll keep watch for new business opportunities and maintain a wide network, growing and developing high level relationships with Global Business Directors and key account decision-makers.

If you’re interested in this role you should come from an academic background in Business or Technology with at least 5 years of commercial experience.

Sales Development Manager

Our colleagues will look to you to provide new customers with existing or modified products and to develop new applications with them. You’ll monitor and coordinate the pipeline of initiatives and projects (commercial and technical) and manage the portfolio of development projects, working across other functions of the business to achieve this. In addition, thanks to your great communication skills and previous professional experience, you’ll successfully negotiate contracts with our developmental customers, driving product commercialization as a result.

If you’re interested in this role you should come from an academic background in Business or Technology and have at least 5 years of commercial experience.
